Heights Bike Rally

The 9th Annual Heights Bicycle Rally will take place this Sunday, October 5, rain or shine. The 20-mile rally and scavenger hunt is open to all ages and starts at Marmion Park at 8:00 a.m. Registration will be ongoing right up until the start of the event, so if you’ve missed registering so far, it’s not too late! There will also be a 5-mile abbreviated version of the event for kids and their companions. The bike rally is not a race, and all skill levels of riders are welcome to participate.

Each entrant will receive a rally card, map, and scavenger hunt clue sheet. There is a checkpoint and water station mid-way through the route. The clue list describes a sight or object visible on the rally course, and the person who spots the most mystery object will be declared the winner. Prizes will be awarded, and to be eligible for prizes, riders must complete the rally by 4:00 and submit their rally card and completed clue list at Marmion Park. The rally card must be validated at the check point, and you must be present to win.

Registration costs $25 the morning of the rally. The weather is expected to be beautiful this weekend, so come out and enjoy it during this fun, family-friendly event. For more details, visit http://www.houstonheights.org/newsletter/index.htm
