Barnaby’s Cafe to Open Heights Location

Burger lovers, rejoice! Popular local chain Barnaby’s Cafe will soon open a new location in the Heights, taking over the space at 2800 White Oak Boulevard recently vacated by City Oven. The 3,300 square foot space will be the seventh location of the casual eatery, known for huge portions of yummy dishes and what are, quite possibly, the world’s best sweet potato fries. The burgers are probably the most popular item on the menu, and there are many to choose from, but you should also try some of the other dishes. We’ve had nearly everything on the menu and have yet to be disappointed. The enormous salads are a personal favorite- try the Lebanese Chicken Fattoush!

For those unfamiliar, Barnaby’s is named after the owner’s dearly departed childhood dog. The decor is a homage to Barnaby the sheepdog, who is depicted (complete with angel wings) in cartoon form on murals covering the walls. The new Barnaby’s is set to open up at the end of 2014. If you just can’t wait until then, head to one of the other nearby locations. We’re getting hungry just thinking about those blue cheese fondue waffle fries!
