Celebrate Valentine’s Day 2021 at These Sweet Eateries

Love Mural Outside Harold's

Valentine’s Day might look a little different this year, but there are still plenty of sweet spots for you to celebrate at! From Valentine’s Day events to romantic restaurants, Houston has several lovely options to consider. If you’re still unsure of what your plans are, we’re here to help with some of our favorite local eateries.

Harold’s Restaurant

In case you didn’t know, Harold’s on 19th Street has a fantastic outdoor terrace where guests can enjoy each other’s company under the twinkling lights. The main dining room is also a cute spot to share a meal. If you’d prefer to have breakfast instead of dinner, we’ve got good news: Harold’s offers breakfast. The Creole Benedict is phenomenal, and so is everything else here. You should call to reserve a table ahead of time – this is Valentine’s Day weekend, after all!

Ritual

Open for dine-in and carry-out, Ritual is known for its warm and cozy dining room on Studewood Street. Its Southern sides like Mac & Cheese, Collard Greens, and Jumbo Shrimp have been making mouths water for years! Ritual’s culinary inspiration comes from local farmers and ranchers and the cultural diversity of Texas, and that inspiration really shines through in its food. The Smoked Short Rib is a must-try. Ritual’s wide selection of wine is also sure to please picky connoisseurs!

Maison Pucha

Another gem on Studewood, Maison Pucha has an incredible prix fixe menu just for Valentine’s Day weekend. The best part? You can grab a bite to eat in the restaurant or to-go! Maison Pucha is showing its love to patrons by offering freebies on qualifying orders too. Guests who dine in person between 11:00 AM and 5:45 PM will receive a free bottle of sparkling wine with an eligible 4-course meal. Choose from the takeout menu to receive a bottle of red wine courtesy of the restaurant. Reserve your table ahead of time – even though specials span throughout Valentine’s Day weekend, reservations are going fast. Beef Bourguignon, here we come!

We Olive

We Olive has made extraordinary efforts to protect its customers during the pandemic, and one of the things owners Amber and Luis Rabo have done is open a charming pop-up seating area called the 19th Street Wine Garden. If you don’t like being crowded by other tables and guests and would prefer to spend time outdoors, you’ll love the fresh, private atmosphere here. Enjoy a wine tasting and We Olive’s signature plates while you dine on historic 19th Street. Maybe even do a little shopping after you finish up! The wine garden features just a handful of tables, so be sure to call ahead of time to reserve your seats.

Bon appétit!
