Pup-A-Palooza in the Heights by Circa Real Estate

Owner of Briggs 'N' Wiggles kneeling with dog, Briggs

When you want to spoil your dog or meet other dog owners who are as crazy about their pets as you are about yours, there’s no better place to bring your pup than to a dog event. Every first Saturday of the month during the 19th Street Local Love Market, Circa Real Estate will be hosting a variety of vendors and animal rescue groups at its new event, Pup-A-Palooza in the Heights. You may even leave with a new furry family member! Read on to learn all of the details about this highly anticipated Heights event.

Circa Real Estate has secured some great vendors for this event. Here’s who to expect:

Briggs ‘n’ Wiggles

Does your dog like dressing fancy? The adorable wares (or shall we say “wears”) from Briggs ‘n’ Wiggles will have your dog’s tail wagging a mile a minute. The shop’s specialty is reversible bandanas that go on your pets’ collar. What’s awesome about these is that there is no tie, so you don’t have to keep readjusting your dog’s bandana. It’s sewn directly into the collar! This local business is named after the cutest foster fail named Briggs who likes to wiggle his butt. In fact, you may see him at the event with his signature mohawk!

Leather and reflective collars as well as fabric face masks will also be for sale. We’re lucky to have such talented creators in the Heights!

Yale Street Dog House & Bakery

If you want to pamper your pup, Yale Street Dog House & Bakery is the place to go. They typically offer daycare, grooming, boarding, and delicious treats (including custom pup cakes) at their location on 1610 Yale Street, but they’re bringing a little bit of their magic to Pup-A-Palooza in the Heights! Attendees can look forward to treats, activities, and free nail clippings. And honestly, who doesn’t love a free nail clipping? We do!

Just a sample of some of the yummy treats you might see from Yale Street Dog House & Bakery.

Animal Rescues

Have some fun and save a life! Two animal rescues will be present at Pup-A-Palooza in the Heights, and they’ll be showing off the cuties they have available for adoption. You may even be able to bring one home! One rescue will be located inside Circa Real Estate along with refreshments while the other rescue will be located outside. The goal is to save as many animals as possible from our local shelters.

Animal Justice League

This organization’s mission is to reduce the homeless pet population in Houston through rescue, education, and outreach. The volunteer-run group saves countless lives each year and is excited to unite some cute canines with their new owners.

Clementine is a plott hound puppy with plenty of love and energy to give her new family. She loves other dogs, playing with her toys, and is a real snuggle bug. Available for adoption as of 04/27/2021.

BARC Animal Shelter

In case you didn’t know, BARC is the official animal shelter of the city of Houston. They take in approximately 25,000 animals every year and work tirelessly to find them homes. Maybe one of these pups will find their dream home with you?
