The Heights Food Truck Festival will be taking place this Saturday on 20th Street from 11:00 am – 5:00 pm. Admission is totally free, and there will be live music from Tianna Hall & the Houston Jazz Band and Mighty Pretty Mixtape. More than twenty food trucks are already committed to attend, and more are expected to confirm later.
The Greater Heights Area Chamber of Commerce is sponsoring the Food Truck Festival. In addition to food trucks, there will be fashion trucks including Shoe Bar and Bombshell Bettie, and Haute in the Heights marketplace featuring several exhibitors and boutiques.
While it will be pretty warm outside (Hello, summer!), there will be lots of covered seating to keep you cool. Food trucks from a wide variety of cuisines and cultures will be on site. Choose from BBQ, Cajun food, lobster rolls, fancy hot dogs, crepes, halal cuisine, baked goods, and many more. Our pants are fitting a little tight just thinking of all the options!
$5 Cocktail? Yes please!
In case you were wondering, yes, of course Circa Real Estate is a part of the Heights Chamber! While we don’t have a booth at the Food Truck event, we will be collaborating with our friends at Harold’s Tap Room to promote our new signature cocktail: The Circa 1950! A wonderful drink with a vodka base and a cherry on top (as all good things should have). Refreshing, easy to drink, and a with touch of sweetness, the Circa 1950 looks striking in a long stemware glass with a purple color that reflects Circa’s signature color. The name is a throwback to our name, of course, and the year our iconic building was made into Harold’s men’s store.
The drink premieres on the SAME day as the Food Truck festival, and will be sold a special price for that day only: $5. That’s right… 5 bucks for a delicious vodka cocktail. Don’t miss out!
