Free Press Summer Fest

Free Press Summer Fest is taking place this weekend, June 3-4, and if you haven’t purchased tickets yet, there’s still time! There are dozens of acts performing across four stages, including Lorde, Cage the Elephant, The Strumbellas, Charli XCX, The Shins, Solange, and Milky Chance, just to name a few.

Free Press Summer Fest has been taking place annually since 2009, and is now probably the largest music festival in Houston, with a diverse lineup of well-known acts and up-and-comers. Concessions are provided by some of Houston’s favorite food trucks, and there are lots of nice little amenities like cell phone charging stations, locker rentals, water bottle refill machines, and photo booths.

Tickets for both days of general admission will run you $148 and get you into every show. FPSF  is held at Eleanor Tinsley Park and is outdoors, so don’t forget the sunscreen. (Word the wise- aerosol cans of any kind are not allowed into the park, so be sure the sunscreen you pack is in regular lotion form or you’re going to be out of luck.) Visit www.FPSF.com to buy tickets or for detailed information about the schedule of performances and what you can and can’t bring with you.
