Field & Tides Opens in Former Zelko Space

A new restaurant by former Liberty Kitchen chef Travis Lenig has opened in the former home of Zelko Bistro, and we can’t wait to check it out! Field & Tides has a menu of Southern comfort foods with international twists, featuring a variety of types of game and fish. Upscale lodge-style decor features deer antlers, exposed Edison bulbs, and lots of raw wood, leather, and local art.

While Zelko Bistro has been sorely missed, Field & Tides has opened to rave reviews from critics and patrons alike. The oysters and brussels sprouts appetizer, duck leg confit, and cookie ice cream sandwich are particular fan favorites, and we’re looking forward to trying them all. (Although if we’re being honest, maybe slightly more excited about that cookie sandwich.)

Field & Tides features an outdoor space that owner Lenig calls “the best patio in the Heights,” so you can bet brunch is going to be packed. Arrive early to snag a table for their first brunch service this weekend. If you’re feeling particularly indecisive, opt for the mimosa flight and try all four varieties available.

Field & Tides is located at 705 E 11th Street. They are open for Monday-Thursday 11:00-10:00, Friday 11:00-11:00, Saturday 10:00-11:00, and Sunday 10:00-10:00.
