This Saturday marks the return of Houston’s Biannual Art Opening, featuring over 150 artists. The Biannual Art Opening offers visitors a chance to admire works by many up and coming artists and meet many of the artists while they do it. The event will be held at two warehouses previously on the verge of demolition, which were instead rescued by developer John Deal and turned into studio spaces for artists. Winter Street Studios and Spring Street Studios are separate spaces about 1/2 a mile from each other, and the event will be spread across them both. A free pedicab service will shuttle art lovers between the buildings, but please remember to tip the pedicab driver. Admission is free and there will beverages and light bites provided. The event kicks of at 5:00 on Saturday, October 12 at Winter Street Studios, located at 2101 Winter Street and Spring Street Studios, located at 1824 Spring Street in the midtown area.
