Watershed Market

Watershed Market will be open for its inaugural weekend this Saturday and Sunday, March 22-23 from 10:00-6:00 in nearby East Downtown. The market strives to provide locally produced, sustainable, green goods and services, as well as live entertainment from local artists. While it is planned to be a permanent EaDo fixture in the future, for the time being Watershed will be open only 4 weekends throughout 2014, so you don’t want to miss a chance to check out the market’s first trip out of the gate. Plan to enjoy live music and dance performances, sample local foods, and shop for sustainably-produced goods created by local artisans. Watershed Market is part of the GLASIR movement, which stands for Green, Local, Adaptive, Sustainable, Innovative, Reuse. Food vendors lined up for this weekend include vegan Sinfull Bakery, D&M Gourmet foods, Little Soya, Salinas Salsa, Gray Gardens Pantry Provisions, and Greenling Grocery, among many others. Besides food, you’ll find lawn and garden products, live plants, handmade jewelry and fashions from local designers, and wellness and fitness products. Indulge your “crunchy” side with a trip to this one-of-a-kind weekend destination! Watershed Market is located 2322 Polk Street.
