We could all use a little comfort food right now, and what’s more comforting than a grilled cheese sandwich? Especially a fancy, stuffed-to-the-gills version with all the trimmings. If that sounds good, you’re in luck, because Twisted Grilled Cheese announced this week that they will be bringing a brick & mortar version of the popular food truck to the Heights. Score!
The new permanent digs at 5555 Washington Ave. will be the first for the popular mobile restaurant, and the space is due to open this fall. The food truck will continue to operate, and will not be replaced by the dine-in location.
Twisted Grilled Cheese features a variety of deluxe takes on the old standby, including one with smoked brisket, a pizza-inspired version, toasted philly cheese steak, and our personal favorite, the spicy buffalo chicken. There’s even a vegan option, and of course, a classic five-cheese sandwich for purists.
