To fight against the spread of COVID-19, Circa Real Estate is taking extreme precautions to ensure the safety of our community, our clients, and our Realtors® through the use of stringent safety and sanitation protocols, virtual technology, and an abundance of resources. Even though most of the country is shut down, housing is an essential need, and we are still open for business—albeit with a lot of changes to our normal operations.
Virtual Showings
In order to limit exposure, showings are moving online as much as possible. This includes live-streaming all of our open houses until further notice, and encouraging our buyers to have their initial showings via Zoom meeting. We understand that serious buyers will want to see a home in person; our Realtors® are simply narrowing the initial search using virtual tours to keep their clients safe. If our clients can see ten properties via Zoom and narrow it down to two in person, that goes a long way to prevent potential exposure.
For our clients who are listing their home for sale, Circa Real Estate is providing gloves for use upon entering each home, and making sure the house is ready for touch-free showings by having all the lights on and all doors open prior to arrival. Potential buyers will be able to easily see every nook and cranny without having to touch door knobs, light switches, or anything else during the duration of their visit.
Buying A Home
Found the perfect home? Congratulations! But don’t be surprised if it takes a little longer than usual to get to closing. There are a number of factors that are slowing the process: low rates have created an active market for refinancing. Just like every other business in America, the COVID-19 crisis has impacted lending. Lenders have to create more space between workers, people are working from home and some people are out sick. Appraisers and surveyors are necessary for the completion of a loan, and are also taking necessary precautions that lengthen the turn-around time for their assessments. Circa Real Estate is working in tandem with lenders and planning for the extra time it may take to close on your home. This all for the safety of everyone involved.
Even when times are hard, we’re here to help you find the perfect property, walk you through the buying or selling process, and get settled in your new home. You might not be able to see it through our protective masks, but we’re still smiling and keeping a light heart. We will get through this together as a community.
