Karbach Restaurant Open for Business

The Karbach Brewery has long been a favorite of Heights beer lovers, but after a recent fifteen-million-dollar expansion, the popular brewery has even more to offer visitors. The new construction includes a kitchen, two event spaces, and a restaurant and bar with indoor seating and an open-air patio. The new building measures a whopping 19,000 square feet and as of a few weeks ago, is open to the public. Those who used to avoid visiting the old, outdoor-only beer garden due to the brutal summer heat will be glad to learn that you can now enjoy your Karbach indoors in the AC.

The new restaurant is the crown jewel of the new and improved Karbach facility. Open for lunch and dinner, it features beer-inspired dishes including Weiss Versa battered fish and chips, shrimp and grits in lager broth, giant pretzels, delicious pizzas, Hopadillo poutine, and gourmet sandwiches. Chef Joe Stayshich left Benjy’s Rice Village in January to take the helm at the Karbach Restaurant and Patio. Chef Stayshich works with local vendors whenever possible, injecting Houston flavor into every dish. The dining room offers views into the working part of the brewery so diners can watch their future beer being made.

The restaurant is open Monday-Saturday from 11:00-10:00 and Sunday from 12:00-10:00. The Karbach Brewery is located at 2032 Karbach Street, just outside of the Heights.
