Houston Restaurant Weeks Underway

Houston Restaurant Weeks is an annual event where some of the city’s best restaurants create special multi-course meals at prices well below what the same meal would normally run you, allowing diners to try out top-notch establishments without breaking the bank. Restaurant Weeks lasts until August 7th, so there’s still plenty of time to visit one of those nice places you’ve been dying to go to. Even better? A portion of the proceeds from each meal goes to the Houston Food Bank to provide meals for needy Houstonians. Over one hundred local restaurants are participating, including local Heights favorites like Shade, Glass Wall, Harold’s on 19th, and Crisp, to name just a few.

With such a long list of restaurants from every conceivable category, there’s sure to be something to fit any tastes. The full list of participating restaurants is available at www.HoustonRestaurantWeeks.com and includes a breakdown of which meals are offered at each place. Choose from dinners for $35, dinners for $45, brunch for $25, and lunch for $20. Dinners are usually three or four courses and most lunches are two courses. Drinks, taxes, and gratuity are not included, so remember to take care of your server. Reservations are recommended no matter when you go, although some places will accept walk-in tables. If you’re living or working further afield, there are participating restaurants in the Woodlands, Kingwood, Spring, Sugar Land, and several other suburbs. Happy dining!
