Greater Heights Chamber: Welcome Back

Circa Real Estate is proud to announce our new membership in the Greater Heights Area Chamber of Commerce. We hosted a ribbon-cutting ceremony on June 21st at our offices to mark the occasion. Alli, owner of Harold’s Tap Room, was kind enough to serve our Chamber friends our delicious signature cocktail, The Circa 1950, now available at Harold’s!

Not really sure what the Chamber of Commerce is or does? That’s ok! There’s no time like the present to learn about this valuable local resource. The Greater Heights Chamber of Commerce was founded in 1988 to serve the business needs of the Greater Heights area. Today the Chamber included hundreds of local businesses and empowers members through networking opportunities, referrals, exposure, and education. In addition to helping local business owners work together and learn from one another, the Chamber of Commerce sponsors community events like last weekends Food Truck Festival, awards scholarships to deserving teens in the community, and encourages patronage of local businesses in a time when big box chains seem to be taking over the world.

The Greater Heights Area Chamber of Commerce is not the only civic organization we are pleased to be a part of. We are proud members of the Houston Heights Association, a group committed to to fostering friendship, goodwill, and community spirit in and around the Heights. This non-profit group provides funds for community beautification projects, restoration, maintenance of our beautiful Heights Boulevard Esplanade and local parks, Houston Heights City Hall and Fire Station. The Houston Heights Association also leads the neighborhood’s revitalization effort, addressing needs relating to deed restrictions, land usage, and crime prevention.

We are extremely proud to be a part of these fantastic organizations that do so much so make our neighborhood a better place.
